The 5th grades did a superb job this week of using the dynamics f, mf, mp, p, crescendo and decrescendo to arrange a song to sing. Deng (Ms Low's class) and Zander (Mr Whitman's class) both conducted the arrangement and gave cues for their class. We all realized that a conductor of an orchestra has a lot to do!!
The Step Program has children from all corners of the world
learning English in a full-day intensive classroom.
This year, students are from Nepal, Kenya, and Djibouti.
The IAA Music program is very important for them, as they learn language fluency through singing, playing instruments, and moving to music.
Here they are singing their version of Frere Jacques: Are You Listening.
